You will be able to support an organization in establishing, implementing, managing, and maintaining an ISO 28000:2022 Supply Chain Security Management System. You will also be able to prepare for a certification audit.
This ISO 28000 Lead Implementer course is designed to build practical capability to implement and operate a Supply Chain Security Management System (SCSMS) aligned with ISO 28000:2022.Across four days, the program covers initiation, planning, implementation, monitoring, and continual improvement. You work through how to interpret ISO 28000 requirements in the specific context of an organization and how to apply implementation concepts, methods, and techniques for effective SCSMS management.Planning topics include analysis of an existing management system, leadership approval of the SCSMS project, defining SCSMS scope, setting supply chain security policies, performing risk assessment, and defining objectives, targets, and programs.Implementation topics include defining organizational structure for supply chain security management, documentation management, communication planning, training and awareness planning, implementation of a security management program, emergency preparedness, and operational control. The course concludes with monitoring, measurement, analysis, and evaluation, internal audit, management review, treatment of nonconformities, continual improvement, and preparation for a certification audit. Exam preparation is supported through review exercises and a practice test similar to the certification exam.
SCSMS implementation is about turning security risk management into repeatable controls and governance. Scope, policy, and risk assessment must be translated into operational control, preparedness, and documentation that can be monitored and reviewed.Internal audit and management review become effective when monitoring and measurement are defined early. If objectives, targets, and programs are measurable, continual improvement becomes actionable and audit preparation becomes routine.
The program covers SCSMS initiation and organizational context, planning with scope, policies and risk assessment, implementation with documentation and operational control, and performance evaluation with audit and continual improvement.
